Wireless network camera systems

A method for operating a battery powered wireless network camera, comprising:

• capturing images;
• wirelessly communicating via a first communication mode;
• wirelessly communicating via a second communication mode;
• on a condition that the second communication mode is not operating, storing the captured images;
• and
• on a further condition that activation is triggered, wirelessly transmitting the captured images utilizing the second communication mode.

A battery powered wireless network camera, comprising:

• an image capturing module, operatively coupled to a memory and an internal battery, the image capturing module configured to capture images;
• a radio communication module operatively coupled to the image capturing module, the memory, and the internal battery, the radio communication module configured for wireless communication via a first communication mode and a second communication mode;
• on a condition that the second communication mode is not operating, the image capturing module configured to store the captured images in the memory;
• and
• on a further condition that activation is triggered, the radio communication module configured to wirelessly transmit the captured images utilizing the second communication mode.
