A control method for an imaging apparatus, the control method comprising:

• outputting, outside the imaging apparatus including an image sensor, a first image captured by the image sensor, the first image having an imaging region divided into a plurality of regions wherein an exposure condition is controlled for each of the plurality of regions, and
• outputting, outside the imaging apparatus including the image sensor, exposure information, for each of the plurality of regions, the exposure information indicating the exposure condition to be applied to the corresponding one of the plurality of regions when the first image is captured;
• wherein, outputting, outside the imaging apparatus including the image sensor, the exposure information comprises outputting, outside the imaging apparatus including the image sensor, the exposure information for a region to be subjected to exposure correction processing in the first image, out of the plurality of regions, before outputting the plurality of the regions of the captured first image subject to exposure correction processing.
