Abstract
Metrics that characterize one or more computing devices are received. A time value associated with a performance of the one or more computing devices based on the received metrics is determined. A first scheduling parameter based on the time value is determined, wherein the first scheduling parameter is associated with a first discovery process that is associated with at least a portion of the one or more computing devices. Execution of the first discovery process is executed according to the first scheduling parameter.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- receiving metrics that characterize one or more computing devices;
- determining a time value associated with a performance of the one or more computing devices based on the received metrics;
- determining a first scheduling parameter based on the time value, wherein the first scheduling parameter is associated with a first discovery process that is associated with at least a portion of the one or more computing devices;
- and
- directing execution of the first discovery process according to the first scheduling parameter.
A system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- a memory coupled to the one or more processors, wherein the memory is configured to provide the one or more processors with instructions which when executed cause the one or more processors to:
- receive metrics that characterize one or more computing devices;
- determine a time value associated with a performance of the one or more computing devices based on the received metrics;
- determine a first scheduling parameter based on the time value, wherein the first scheduling parameter is associated with a first discovery process that is associated with at least a portion of the one or more computing devices;
- and
- direct execution of the first discovery process according to the first scheduling parameter.
A computer program product, the computer program product being embodied in a non-transitory computer readable storage medium and comprising computer instructions for:
- receiving metrics that characterize one or more computing devices;
- determining a time value associated with a performance of the one or more computing devices based on the received metrics;
- determining a first scheduling parameter based on the time value, wherein the first scheduling parameter is associated with a first discovery process that is associated with at least a portion of the one or more computing devices;
- and
- directing execution of the first discovery process according to the first scheduling parameter.
