Abstract
Methods and systems for managing data and transmission of content are disclosed. A computing device may receive a request for content. The computing device may determine data associated with the requested content.

A method comprising:
- storing an index in a cache, wherein the index defines a location of a first version of content and a location of a second version of the content;
- updating, based on a change in a characteristic of the content, the index in the cache;
- receiving a request for one of the first version of the content or the second version of the content;
- and
- processing, based on the updated index in the cache, the request.
