Method and apparatus for determining health status

A system for monitoring a state of an individual, comprising:

• a video capture device;
• one or more processors;
• and
• a memory storing one or more non-transitory, computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
• obtaining, from the video capture device, a video record of the individual performing a physical activity;
• de-identifying the video record, wherein de-identifying the video record comprises
• identifying a subset of points to be extracted from the video record, the subset of points allowing for future analysis of the physical activity, and
• storing the subset of points without storing the video record to inhibit re-identification of the individual in the video record;
• measuring the physical activity as recorded by the stored subset of points;
• comparing the measured physical activity to an expected physical activity to obtain a comparison result;
• and
• diagnosing one or more aspects of disease based on the comparison result.
