Abstract
A vehicle includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to determine whether or not a communication interface is malfunctioning, the communication interface being configured to perform communication for confirming that a device, which holds a digital key for activation, is inside a vehicle cabin, and in a case in which it is determined that the communication interface is malfunctioning, perform processing that enables activation based on a result of authentication of the device.
Claims8
An apparatus in a vehicle, the apparatus comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- a processor coupled to the memory, the processor being configured to:
- determine whether or not a communication interface is malfunctioning, the communication interface being configured to perform communication for confirming that a cellular phone, having digital key information that is authenticated by the vehicle, is inside a vehicle cabin, and
- in a case in which it is determined that the communication interface is malfunctioning, perform processing that enables operation of the vehicle based on a result of user authentication of the cellular phone.
A determination method, comprising:
- determining, by a processor, whether or not a communication interface is malfunctioning, the communication interface being configured to perform communication for confirming that a cellular phone, having digital key information that is authenticated by the vehicle, is inside a vehicle cabin;
- and
- in a case in which it is determined that the communication interface is malfunctioning, enabling, by the processor, operation of the vehicle based on a result of user authentication of the cellular phone.
A non-transitory recording medium storing a program that is executable by a computer to perform processing, the processing comprising:
- determining whether or not a communication interface is malfunctioning, the communication interface being configured to perform communication for confirming that a cellular phone, having digital key information that is authenticated by the vehicle, is inside a vehicle cabin;
- and
- in a case in which it is determined that the communication interface is malfunctioning, enabling operation of the vehicle based on a result of user authentication of the cellular phone.
