Perceptual property vector for an object

A device comprising:

• one or more processors;
• a non-transitory memory;
• one or more displays;
• and
• one or more programs stored in the non-transitory memory, which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to:
• obtain a semantic construction of a physical environment, wherein the semantic construction of the physical environment includes a representation of a physical element and a semantic label for the physical element;
• obtain a graphical representation of the physical element;
• determine, based on the semantic label for the physical element, one or more perceptual characteristic values that indicate how a virtual object can detect and interact with the graphical representation of the physical element;
• and
• composite an affordance in association with the graphical representation of the physical element, wherein the affordance allows the virtual object to interact with the graphical representation of the physical element in accordance with the one or more perceptual characteristic values.

A non-transitory memory storing one or more programs, which, when executed by one or more processors of a device with a display, cause the device to:

• obtain a semantic construction of a physical environment, wherein the semantic construction of the physical environment includes a representation of a physical element and a semantic label for the physical element;
• obtain a graphical representation of the physical element;
• determine, based on the semantic label for the physical element, one or more perceptual characteristic values that indicate how a virtual object can detect and interact with the graphical representation of the physical element;
• and
• composite an affordance in association with the graphical representation of the physical element, wherein the affordance allows the virtual object to interact with the graphical representation of the physical element in accordance with the one or more perceptual characteristic values.
