Systems and methods for accessing first party cookies

A system for accessing first party Internet cookies, the system including:

• at least one data storage device storing instructions for a method for accessing first party Internet cookies;
• and
• at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to perform the method for accessing the first party internet cookies, the method comprising:
• receiving a request, from a user device, at an ad network pixel server, for a subdomain, wherein the request is in response to the user device requesting website content at an online publisher server and receiving the website content and an ad call;
• receiving a request, from the user device, at an ad network pixel server, for the subdomain;
• determining, by the ad network pixel server, whether an Internet cookie associated with the requested subdomain is stored on the user device;
• transmitting, to the user device, from the ad network pixel server, one of (i) a pixel image and a leadback cookie defining the requested subdomain, in a case in which the stored Internet cookie of the requested subdomain is stored on the user device, the pixel image granting the ad network pixel server access to the Internet cookie of the requested subdomain, and (ii) a broken image, in a case in which the user device does not store an Internet cookie for the requested subdomain;
• and
• transmitting an ad for display on the user device based on the user device sending an ad request, the ad request based on the leadback cookie.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform a method for accessing first party Internet cookies, the method comprising:

• receiving a request, from a user device, at an ad network pixel server, for a subdomain, wherein the request is in response to the user device requesting website content at an online publisher server and receiving the website content and an ad call;
• determining, by the ad network pixel server, whether an Internet cookie associated with the requested subdomain is stored on the user device;
• transmitting, to the user device, from the ad network pixel server, one of (i) a pixel image and a leadback cookie defining the requested subdomain, in a case in which the stored Internet cookie of the requested subdomain is stored on the user device, the pixel image granting the ad network pixel server access to the Internet cookie of the requested subdomain, and (ii) a broken image, in a case in which the user device does not store an Internet cookie for the requested subdomain;
• and
• transmitting an ad for display on the user device based on the user device sending an ad request, the ad request based on the leadback cookie.
