Output impedance calibration, and related devices, systems, and methods

A system, comprising:

• a semiconductor device including a driver adapted to be configured in a number of different configurations;
• and
• a host configured to:
• convey a calibration code to the semiconductor device;
• evaluate a signal integrity response for each configuration of the number of different configurations to select a configuration of the number of different configurations;
• and
• convey a signal to the semiconductor device to store the calibration code associated with the selected configuration.

A system, comprising:

• a memory device including:
• a driver including a number of transistors coupled to an output node;
• and
• circuitry coupled to the driver and adapted to:
• receive a calibration code from an external host;
• and
• store, in response to receipt of a signal from the external host, the calibration code for the driver, wherein the calibration code is associated with a desired channel performance response for the driver.

A method, comprising:

• conveying a calibration code to a semiconductor device from a host external to the semiconductor device;
• comparing, via the host, a channel performance response of the semiconductor device to a previous channel performance response of the semiconductor device;
• and
• storing the calibration code in response to the channel performance response being improved relative to the previous channel performance response.
