Secure online conferencing

A system comprising:

• one or more non-transitory machine-readable mediums configured to store instructions;
• and
• one or more processors configured to execute the instructions stored on the one or more non-transitory machine-readable mediums, wherein execution of the instructions causes the one or more processors to:
• receive an online meeting Uniform Resource Locator (URL) for an online meeting that is being scheduled;
• determine whether the online meeting is a secure online meeting;
• and
• responsive to a determination that the online meeting is a secure online meeting:
• generate a personalized online meeting URL for each meeting participant that is invited to the secure online meeting, the personalized online meeting URL being based on the online meeting URL;
• encrypt the generated personalized online meeting URLs;
• send to each meeting participant that is invited an invitation to the secure online meeting, the invitation to each invited meeting participant including an encrypted personalized online meeting URL that is generated for that invited meeting participant;
• and
• responsive to a determination of an opening of one of the sent invitations, disabling one or more functions within the opened invitation to prevent sending of the invitation to an uninvited user.

A computer implemented method comprising:

• responsive to an activation of a meeting link by a user, the meeting link is for a secure online meeting:
• determining an encrypted personalized online meeting Uniform Resource Locator (URL) associated with the meeting link;
• decrypting the encrypted personalized online meeting URL to determine a personalized online meeting URL, the personalized online meeting URL having a query string;
• validating the user based on the query string;
• and
• responsive to validation of the user, allowing the user to join the secure online meeting;
• receiving an invitation including the meeting link;
• and
• responsive to a determination of an opening of an invitation, disabling one or more functions within the opened invitation to prevent sending of the invitation to an uninvited user.
