A roof tile comprising a ceramic body, a reinforcing element attached to a lower surface of the ceramic body, and a support layer attached below the reinforcing element, wherein the reinforcing element consists of a resin, wherein the resin covers 80 percent or more of the lower surface of the ceramic body, wherein the support layer comprises a rigid polymer with embedded fiberglass, wherein the support layer comprises coupling parts adapted to provide for attachment of the roof tile to a roof framework, and wherein the coupling parts provide for a click-type or snap-type coupling.
