Abstract
An impact tool includes: a brushless motor; a spindle, which is rotated by the brushless motor; a hammer, which is held on the spindle; an anvil, which is impacted in a rotational direction by the hammer; a polymer housing, which houses the brushless motor; a hammer case, which is connected to the polymer housing and houses the hammer and the spindle; and a light unit, which is held on the hammer case and comprises a plurality of light-emitting devices. The maximum tightening torque of the anvil is 1,000 N·m or more and 2,500 N·m or less.

An impact tool comprising:
- a brushless motor;
- a spindle, which is rotated by the brushless motor;
- a hammer, which is held on the spindle;
- an anvil, which is impacted in a rotational direction by the hammer;
- a polymer housing, which houses the brushless motor;
- a hammer case, which is connected to the polymer housing and houses the hammer and the spindle;
- and
- a light unit, which is held on the hammer case and comprises:
- a plurality of surface-mounted light-emitting devices,
- a plurality of optical members composed of a first material, the optical members respectively facing the light-emitting devices and being configured to transmit illumination light emitted from the light-emitting devices, and
- a light cover, which is disposed forward of the light-emitting devices and has a plurality of openings that are spaced apart in different portions of the light cover;
- wherein:
- the anvil has a maximum tightening torque of 1,000 N·m or more and 2,500 N·m or less portions of the optical members are respectively disposed in the openings;
- the light cover is composed of a second material that differs from the first material;
- the optical members do not directly contact each other;
- and
- the optical members and the light cover are integrated by insert molding such that the optical members are indirectly connected to each other via the second material.
An impact tool comprising:
- a brushless motor;
- a spindle, which is rotated by the brushless motor;
- a hammer, which is held on the spindle;
- an anvil, which is impacted in a rotational direction by the hammer and has a quadrangular-column part;
- a polymer housing, which houses the brushless motor;
- a hammer case, which is connected to the polymer housing and houses the hammer and the spindle;
- a bearing composed of an oil-impregnated metal, which is held by the hammer case and rotatably supports the anvil, and
- a light unit, which is held on the hammer case and comprises:
- a plurality of light-emitting devices that are disposed spaced apart around the anvil,
- optical members composed of a first material and coupled to the light unit such that the optical members do not directly contact each other, and
- a light cover composed of a second material that differs from the first material, the light cover including a ring-shaped portion;
- wherein:
- openings are defined spaced part in different portions of the ring-shaped portion of the light cover;
- portions of the optical members are respectively disposed in the openings such that the optical members are respectively disposed forward of the plurality of light-emitting devices;
- the optical members and the light cover are integrated by insert molding such that the optical members are indirectly connected to each other via the second material;
- and
- the anvil has a maximum tightening torque of 1,000 N·m or more and 2,500 N·m or less.
