Powder gun configurable for supply from venturi or dense phase pump

A spray gun comprising:

• a gun body comprising a spray outlet and a powder inlet;
• and
• a powder flow path comprising an inlet end and an outlet end,
• wherein powder coating material can flow from said powder inlet to said powder flow path inlet end and from said powder flow path outlet end to said spray outlet,
• wherein said powder flow path comprises a first portion with a first cross-sectional area, a second portion with a second cross-sectional area greater than the first cross-sectional area, and a transition portion having an expansion chamber that joins said first portion and said second portion, a first recess at a first end of the expansion chamber, and a second recess at a second end of the expansion chamber, and
• wherein the first portion includes a first tube received in the first recess and a diffuser, and the second portion includes a second tube received in the second recess.
