Abstract
The invention provides a wound dressing made by an ex vivo formed combination of fibrinogen and/or fibrin containing-liquid formulation and an oxidized cellulose (OC) backing; and use thereof.
Claims3
A kit for treating a wounded tissue in a subject comprising:
- a first container comprising an oxidized cellulose (OC) backing;
- a second container comprising a formulation comprising fibrinogen and/or fibrin;
- a third container comprising thrombin;
- and instructions for ex vivo combining the formulation comprising said fibrinogen and/or fibrin with said thrombin and with said OC backing to thereby form a wound dressing, wherein the combined formulation is in contact with the OC backing, and wherein said formulation is in a liquid or in a frozen form.
