A method of treating a respiratory tract infection comprising administering to a person in need thereof a gaseous composition consisting essentially of dichlorine monoxide to treat the respiratory tract infection, wherein the dichlorine monoxide is the only active ingredient in the composition.
A method of treating a respiratory tract infection comprising administering to a person in need thereof a gaseous composition comprising 0.0022 mg/L dichlorine monoxide, wherein hypochlorous acid and hypochlorous acid anhydride are not present in the composition and wherein the dichlorine monoxide is the only active ingredient in the composition.
