A specimen support tool for supporting a slice prepared by using a microtome includes a specimen support member on which a groove for guiding the slice is formed.
Claims6
A specimen support tool for supporting a slice prepared by using a microtome, the specimen support tool comprising a specimen support member on which a groove for guiding the slice is formed, wherein the groove has an open end for passage of the slice, and wherein
- a first through hole is formed in the specimen support member,
- the groove extends from an edge of the specimen support member to the first through hole,
- a recessed portion is formed on a surface that defines a bottom of the groove of the specimen support member, and
- a chip having a support film for supporting the slice is installable in the recessed portion.
