Position detection device

A lens module comprising:

• a substrate;
• a lens whose position relative to the substrate is variable;
• a first magnet and a second magnet that are disposed such that the lens is located between the first magnet and the second magnet in a first direction orthogonal to a direction of an optical axis of the lens;
• a third magnet and a fourth magnet that are disposed such that the lens is located between the third magnet and the fourth magnet in a second direction orthogonal to the direction of the optical axis of the lens;
• a plurality of coils configured to move the lens in a direction parallel to the first direction, a direction parallel to the second direction, or the direction of the optical axis of the lens, based on magnetic fields generated by the first to fourth magnets;
• a fifth magnet provided such that its position relative to the second and third magnets is variable;
• a sixth magnet provided such that its position relative to the first and fourth magnets is variable;
• a first magnetic sensor configured to detect a first detection-target magnetic field that is a composite magnetic field based on the second, third, and fifth magnets;
• and
• a second magnetic sensor configured to detect a second detection-target magnetic field that is a composite magnetic field based on the first, fourth, and sixth magnets.
