Abstract
Novel organoselenium selective ligands are presented and designed to determine metal ions in a sample. These ligands are used as complexing agents in a dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction procedure of copper and zinc ions. The procedure has a shortened extraction time, minimal organic solvent types, and lower amounts of solvents, as well as easy operation and high enrichment efficiency.
Claims3
A process for making an organoselenium compound, comprising reacting a diselenide compound of the formula:
- with a substituted salicylaldehyde of the formula:
- in the presence of ethanol and acetic acid;
- wherein the organoselenium compound has the formula I:
- or salt, stereoisomer, or solvate thereof, and wherein
- each X is the same and is hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, —NO2, C1-C6 alkyl, or C1-C6 alkoxy.
A process for making an organoselenium compound, comprising
- reacting a diselenide compound of the formula:
- with R—Br in the presence of ethanol, NaBH4 and N2 to obtain a compound of the formula:
- which compound in turn is reacted with a substituted salicylaldehyde of the formula:
- in the presence of ethanol and acetic acid;
- wherein R is —CH2CH3, —CH2CH2CH3, or —CH2CH2Ph and X is hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, —NO2, —CH3 or —OCH3 such that the organoselenium compound is selected from the group consisting of:
