Cycling computer

A cycling computer comprising:

• a computer housing enclosing and protecting an electronics package, the computer housing including a first coupling member formed into a bottom surface of the computer housing;
• a computer mount having a mounting adapter at a proximal end for coupling to a front of a bicycle, a cradle at a distal end and a bracket arm extending between the mounting adapter and the cradle, the cradle including a second coupling member formed into an upper side of the cradle and engageable with the first coupling member to removably secure the computer housing to the cradle;
• and
• a locking mechanism further securing the computer housing to the cradle, the locking mechanism comprising a member securing the cradle to the computer housing, wherein the member comprises a screw, the locking mechanism comprising a threaded aperture defined in the computer housing and an aperture in the computer mount sized to receive the screw to engage the threaded aperture, wherein the threaded aperture is positioned in the computer housing to align with the aperture in the computer mount when the first coupling member is twist locked into the second coupling member.

A cycling computer comprising:

• a computer housing enclosing and protecting an electronics package, the computer housing including a first coupling member formed into a bottom surface of the computer housing;
• a computer mount having a mounting adapter at a proximal end for coupling to a front of a bicycle, a cradle at a distal end and a bracket arm extending between the mounting adapter and the cradle, the cradle including a second coupling member formed into an upper side of the cradle and engageable with the first coupling member to removably secure the computer housing to the cradle;
• a locking mechanism further securing the computer housing to the cradle, the locking mechanism comprising a member securing the cradle to the computer housing, wherein the computer housing comprises a front end having a wedge-shaped profile defined by a leading edge and a lower front surface extending rearward and downward from the leading edge to a bottom surface of the computer housing;
• and
• the computer mount positioning the computer housing forward from the front of the bicycle and aligned with a width of a handlebar of the bicycle, the computer mount defining a curved underside surface extending rearward from a forward edge that is sized and shaped to align with the lower front surface of the computer housing and to form a continuous surface extending from the leading edge of the computer housing to a rear edge of the cradle when the computer housing is secured within the cradle.

A cycling computer comprising:

• a computer housing enclosing and protecting an electronics package, the computer housing including a first coupling member formed into a bottom surface of the computer housing;
• a computer mount having a mounting adapter at a proximal end for coupling to a front of a bicycle, a cradle at a distal end, and a bracket arm extending between the mounting adapter and the cradle, the cradle including a second coupling member at an upper side of the cradle and engageable with the first coupling member to initially couple the computer housing to the cradle, a combination of the first coupling member and the second coupling member defining a first fastening mechanism;
• a second fastening mechanism interconnected between the computer housing and the computer mount, the second fastening mechanism operable when the first coupling member is engaged with the second coupling member and fixedly securing the computer housing to the computer mount;
• wherein:
• the computer housing comprises a front end having a wedge-shaped profile defined by a leading edge and a lower front surface extending rearward and downward from the leading edge to a bottom surface of the computer housing;
• and
• the computer mount positioning the computer housing forward from the front of the bicycle and aligned with a width of a handlebar of the bicycle, the computer mount defining a curved underside surface extending rearward from a forward edge that is sized and shaped to align with the lower front surface of the computer housing and to form a continuous surface extending from the leading edge of the computer housing to a rear edge of the cradle when the computer housing is secured within the cradle.

A cycling computer comprising:

• a computer housing enclosing and protecting an electronics package, the computer housing including a first coupling member;
• a computer mount having a mounting adapter to couple to a bicycle and a second coupling member engageable with the first coupling member to removably secure the computer housing to the computer mount;
• and
• a locking mechanism further securing the computer housing to the computer mount, the locking mechanism comprising a member extending from the computer mount into an aperture defined in the computer housing securing the computer mount to the computer housing, wherein:
• the aperture defined in the computer housing defines a threaded aperture;
• the computer mount defines an open aperture aligned with the threaded aperture when the computer housing is secured with the computer mount by way of a twist lock between the first coupling member and the second coupling member;
• and
• the member extending from the computer mount comprises a screw extending through the open aperture and engaged within the threaded aperture.
