Abstract
An adapter is configured to be removably mounted to a rotary tool, the rotary tool having a battery mounting part configured such that a battery can be removably mounted thereto and an output shaft that is rotationally driven by power supply from the battery mounted to the battery mounting part. The adapter has a housing, a first mounting part that is formed on the housing and configured to be removably mounted to the battery mounting part, a second mounting part that is formed on the housing and configured such that the battery can be removably mounted thereto, and a detection part that is configured to detect the moving state of the adapter in at least one direction.

An adapter that is configured to be removably mounted to a rotary tool, the rotary tool having a battery mounting part configured such that a battery can be removably mounted thereto, and an output shaft that is rotationally driven by power supplied from the battery mounted to the battery mounting part, comprising:
- a housing;
- a first mounting part that is on the housing and configured to be removably mounted to the battery mounting part;
- a second mounting part that is on the housing and configured such that the battery can be removably mounted thereto;
- a detection part that is configured to detect a moving state of the adapter in at least one direction;
- and
- a manipulation part that is configured to be externally manipulated by a user, wherein
- detection sensitivity of the detection part for detecting the moving state of the adapter in the at least one direction is adjusted according to manipulation of the manipulation part.
