Abstract
Provided is a method of making a preliposomal Annamycin lyophilizate, the composition made by the method, and the use of the composition made thereby in the treatment of cancer.

A composition of preliposomal Annamycin lyophilizate, the composition comprising
- 1.8-2.2 wt. % Annamycin;
- 65.3-67.3 wt. % of pH adjusted dimyristoyl phosphatidylcholine (“DMPC”), wherein the pH adjusted DMPC has a pH of 4.8-5.9;
- 27.1-29.9 wt. % of pH adjusted 1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-[phospho(1′-rac-glycerol)] sodium salt (“DMPG”);
- and
- 3.0-3.4 wt. % polysorbate 20.
