Abstract
A method of treating or preventing a vaginal disease and/or a vaginal discomfort in a patient in need thereof, the method comprising administering a vaginal composition comprising isomaltulose to the vagina of the patient to restore and/or maintain Lactobacilli in the vagina, and/or to restore and/or maintain the vaginal acidity, wherein the content of the isomaltulose ranges from 0.05% (w/w) to 20.0% (w/w).

A method of treating vaginal dysbacteriosis and/or a vaginal discomfort in a patient in need thereof, the method comprising administering a vaginal composition comprising isomaltulose to the vagina of the patient to promote the growth of L. crispatus, L. jensenii, and/or L. gasseri, and/or to restore and/or maintain the vaginal acidity, wherein the content of the isomaltulose ranges from 0.05% (w/w) to 20.0% (w/w), and the daily dosage of the isomaltulose ranges from 5 mg to 2000 mg.
