Abstract
Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a fill gun apparatus for interconnection of a pump truck and a pressurized liquid delivery system. The fill gun apparatus can be easily attached and detached from an inlet port to deliver a pressurized fluid, for improved delivery, increased efficiency, increased safety, and decreased waste.
Claims4
A method for the delivery of liquid CO2 from a pump truck to a storage system comprising:
- inserting a first end of an inlet line of a filler device into a receptacle;
- indexing a sleeve of the filler device to a mating element of the receptacle;
- actuating a valve from a first configuration, which prevents the flow of pressurized CO2, to a second configuration, which allows flow of pressurized CO2 into the receptacle;
- activating a pump to pressurize the CO2;
- sensing the pressure within the storage system;
- deactivating the pump in response to sensing a predetermined pressure;
- after deactivating the pump, purging CO2 from the filler device by actuating the valve from the second configuration to a third configuration which allows for flow of CO2 from the filler device through the valve to the ambient environment;
- removing the inlet line from the receptacle.
