Abstract
A backup power supply system of the present invention includes a first auxiliary power supply and a second auxiliary power supply capable of supplying electric power to a first load when failure of a main power supply occurs. In the backup power supply system, a second duration is shorter than a first duration. The first duration is the duration until the first auxiliary power supply becomes capable of supplying electric power to the first load. The second duration is the duration until the second auxiliary power supply becomes capable of supplying electric power to the first load.

A backup power supply system comprising
- a first auxiliary power supply and a second auxiliary power supply configured to supply electric power to a load when failure of a main power supply occurs, wherein:
- a second duration until the second auxiliary power supply becomes capable of supplying electric power to the load is shorter than a first duration until the first auxiliary power supply becomes capable of supplying electric power to the load,
- the first duration is a duration until the first auxiliary power supply becomes capable of supplying electric power to the load since the first auxiliary power supply starts to be charged, and
- the second duration is a duration until the second auxiliary power supply becomes capable of supplying electric power to the load since the second auxiliary power supply starts to be charged.
A power supply backup method to be used for a backup power supply system, the method comprising:
- causing a main power supply to supply electric power to a load while failure of the main power supply does not occur;
- and
- causing the backup power supply system to supply electric power to the load while failure of the main power supply occurs, wherein:
- the backup power supply system includes a first auxiliary power supply and a second auxiliary power supply which are capable of supplying electric power to the load, and
- a second duration until the second auxiliary power supply becomes capable of supplying electric power to the load is shorter than a first duration until the first auxiliary power supply becomes capable of supplying electric power to the load,
- the first duration is a duration until the first auxiliary power supply becomes capable of supplying electric power to the load since the first auxiliary power supply starts to be charged, and
- the second duration is a duration until the second auxiliary power supply becomes capable of supplying electric power to the load since the second auxiliary power supply starts to be charged.
A backup power supply system comprising:
- a first auxiliary power supply and a second auxiliary power supply configured to supply electric power to a load when failure of a main power supply occurs, wherein:
- a second duration until the second auxiliary power supply becomes capable of supplying electric power to the load is shorter than a first duration until the first auxiliary power supply becomes capable of supplying electric power to the load, and
- the second auxiliary power supply is configured to supply electric power to the load in a second state that the load has smaller power consumption than a first state that the first auxiliary power supply supplies electric power to the load.
