Abstract
The present invention discloses a disposable takeout food container, comprising a first sleeve cover, and a second sleeve cover. The first sleeve cover and the second sleeve cover when oriented perpendicular to a tray and engaged with the tray, support the tray at an elevated position, functioning as serving tray stands to form a stable table-tray.
Claims9
A disposable takeout food container, comprising:
- a tray that is comprised of a single-piece, planar sheet cut-out that is folded about one or more markings to form the tray;
- a first sleeve cover;
- and
- a second sleeve cover;
- the first sleeve cover and the second sleeve cover fully cover over the tray when in a closed position;
- the first sleeve cover and the second sleeve cover slide apart and move away from one another to an open position to uncover and provide access to the tray,
- the first sleeve cover and the second sleeve cover when oriented perpendicular to the tray and engaged with the tray, support and secure the entire tray at an elevated position,
- a first end of a bottom side of the tray rests upon a first supporting edge of the first sleeve cover, with the first supporting edge of the first sleeve cover having a first height, with a top edge of a first side of the tray interlocked with a first interlock mechanism of the first sleeve cover;
- and
- a second end of the bottom side of the tray rests upon a second supporting edge of the second sleeve cover, with the second supporting edge of the second sleeve cover having a second height, with a top edge of a second side of the tray interlocked with a second interlock mechanism of the second sleeve cover;
- the first height of the first supporting edge of the first sleeve cover and the second height of the second supporting edge of the second sleeve cover define the elevated position of the tray, with the first interlock mechanism of the first sleeve cover and the second interlock mechanism of the second sleeve cover securing the tray at the elevated position;
- the first sleeve cover and the second sleeve cover functioning as serving tray stands to form a stable table-tray.

A disposable takeout food container, comprising:
- a first sleeve cover;
- and
- a second sleeve cover;
- the first sleeve cover and the second sleeve cover are identical, with each formed from:
- a single-piece, planar sheet cut-out that is folded about one or more fold-mark;
- the first sleeve cover and the second sleeve cover when oriented perpendicular to a tray and engaged with the tray, support the entire tray at an elevated position, functioning as serving tray stands to form a stable table-tray;
- a first end of a bottom side of the tray rests upon a first supporting edge of the first sleeve cover, with the first supporting edge of the first sleeve cover having a first height, with a top edge of a first side of the tray interlocked with a first interlock mechanism of the first sleeve cover;
- and
- a second end of the bottom side of the tray rests upon a second supporting edge of the second sleeve cover, with the second supporting edge of the second sleeve cover having a second height, with a top edge of a second side of the tray interlocked with a second interlock mechanism of the second sleeve cover;
- the first height of the first supporting edge of the first sleeve cover and the second height of the second supporting edge of the second sleeve cover define the elevated position of the tray, with the first interlock mechanism of the first sleeve cover and the second interlock mechanism of the second sleeve cover securing the tray at the elevated position.
