Abstract
The invention relates to a food supplement comprising at least the amino acids leucine, isoleucine, valine, threonine and lysine and Chromium. The invention further relates to food compositions comprising the food supplement as well as uses of both.
Claims11
A dose of a food supplement comprising amino acids and at least one mineral, wherein
- a) the amino acid content of the dose of the food supplement consists of 25-29% leucine, 9-14% isoleucine, 11-14% valine, 17-27% threonine, and 13-23% lysine, wherein the percentages are calculated based upon the total amino acid content, by weight, in the dose of the food supplement, wherein the sum of the percentages is 100%, and wherein the sum content of leucine, isoleucine, valine, threonine, and lysine is from 2-4 g in the dose of the food supplement;
- and
- b) the mineral content of the dose of the food supplement comprises 10 to 50 micrograms Chromium in the dose of the food supplement.
