Bill payments from a video screen

A computer-implemented method comprising:

• receiving, by a broadcast headend, a content stream including a unique property code associated with a vendor;
• broadcasting, by the broadcast headend, a video content signal associated with the content stream over a broadcast medium to a downstream device;
• parsing, by the broadcast headend, the unique property code associated with the vendor from the content stream in association with the video content signal being broadcast;
• and
• sending, by the broadcast headend, a bill pay request to a financial institution computing system to effect a payment to the vendor.

A non-transitory computer readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied therein that, when executed by a content processing circuit of a broadcast headend, causes the broadcast headend to perform operations, the operations comprising:

• receiving a content stream including a unique property code associated with a vendor;
• broadcasting a video content signal associated with the content stream over a broadcast medium to a downstream device;
• parsing the unique property code associated with the vendor from the content stream in association with the video content signal being broadcast;
• and
• sending a bill pay request to a financial institution computing system to effect a payment to the vendor.
