Abstract
Provided herein are methods of selective screening. In addition, various targeting proteins and sequences, as well as methods of their use, are also provided.
Claims18
A method of delivering a nucleic acid sequence to a nervous system of a subject, the method comprising:
- providing a targeting peptide comprising at least 4 contiguous amino acids from an amino acid sequence of TLAVPFK (SEQ ID NO:
- 1) or a targeting peptide comprising at least 6 contiguous amino acids from an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of ILGTGTS (SEQ ID NO:
- 55), TRTNPEA (SEQ ID NO:
- 56), NGGTSSS (SEQ ID NO:
- 58), and YTLSQGW (SEQ ID NO:
- 60), wherein the targeting peptide is part of a capsid of an AAV vector comprising a nucleic acid sequence to be delivered to the nervous system, and wherein the targeting peptide is inserted between two amino acids in the capsid amino acid sequence of the AAV vector which correspond to AA588-589 or AA452-458 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- and
- administering the AAV vector to the subject.
