A method for promoting nerve growth, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof an ethyl acetate fraction, as a nerve growth promoting agent, obtained by degrading a chicken's comb containing a hyaluronic acid and a protein with a protease followed by extracting with ethyl acetate to produce an aqueous fraction and the ethyl acetate fraction.
