Product dispensing system

A method for operating a product dispensing system having a first ingredient and a second ingredient, the method comprising:

• providing a first control signal to a flow control device for controlling the supply of a first quantity of the first ingredient;
• providing a second control signal to a pump module for controlling the supply of a first quantity of the second ingredient;
• flowing a fluid into a fluid chamber of a flow sensor;
• displacing a diaphragm assembly whenever said fluid within the fluid chamber is displaced;
• monitoring the displacement of the diaphragm assembly;
• and
• generating a flow signal based, at least in part, upon a quantity of fluid displaced within the fluid chamber.

A method for operating a product dispensing system having a first ingredient and a second ingredient, the method comprising:

• generating a flow feedback signal indicative of a volume of the first ingredient flowing within a line of the product dispensing system;
• transmitting the flow feedback signal to a feedback controller system;
• receiving the flow feedback signal at the feedback controller system;
• comparing a desired flow volume to the flow feedback signal;
• generating a flow control signal using a feed forward controller to establish an initial value of a flow control signal based on comparing the desired flow volume to the flow feedback signal;
• transmitting the flow control signal to a variable impedance device;
• operating the variable impedance device in response to the flow control signal to regulate the volume of content flowing within a line of the dispensing system;
• providing a first control signal to a flow control device for controlling a supply of a first quantity of the first ingredient;
• and
• providing a second control signal to a pump module for controlling a supply of a first quantity of the second ingredient.
