Abstract
A communication equipment comprises a wireless LAN transceiver, and a controller. The controller is configured to when performing connect process to an access point by the wireless LAN transceiver, decide whether to perform a communication acknowledgement to confirm availability of an internet connection via the access point, on the basis of identification information which the wireless LAN transceiver receives from the access point.

A communication equipment comprising:
- a wireless LAN transceiver configured to perform a connect process to an access point, wherein the wireless LAN transceiver is further configured to receive identification information included in a beacon signal periodically broadcast by the access point before performing the connect process;
- and
- a controller configured to perform, via the access point, a communication acknowledgement confirming availability of an internet connection, wherein in response to the wireless LAN transceiver performing the connect process, the controller is further configured to store an internet unreachable access point list comprising the identification information, wherein the identification information includes at least one of a Service Set Identifier (SSID), a Media Access Control (MAC) address, and an Internet Protocol (IP) address, the identification information further includes device type information indicating a type of device which operates as the access point, wherein
- in response to receiving the identification information which corresponds to the identification information included in the internet unreachable access point list, the controller is configured to perform and complete the connection process without performing the communication acknowledgement confirming availability.

- store an internet unreachable access point list comprising the identification information, wherein the identification information includes at least one of a Service Set Identifier (SSID), a Media Access Control (MAC) address, and an Internet Protocol (IP) address, the identification information further includes device type information indicating a type of device which operates as the access point, wherein
- in response to receiving the identification information which corresponds to the identification information included in the internet unreachable access point list, the controller is configured to perform and complete the connection process without performing the communication acknowledgement confirming availability.
