Abstract

A communication device may execute a wireless communication of object data with a mobile device via a first target network using a second type of interface after executing a sending process of sending a wireless setting, for causing the mobile device to belong to the first target network, to the mobile device using a first type of interface in a case where the communication device is determined as currently belonging to the first target network. The communication device may execute the wireless communication of the object data with the mobile device via a second target network using the second type of interface after executing a specific process of causing both the communication device and the mobile device to belong to the second target network in a case where the communication device is determined as currently not belonging to the target network.

Dependent claims

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing computer-readable instructions for a second device comprising a first type of interface configured to execute a communication with a first device and a second type of interface, which is different from the first type of interface, configured to execute a communication with the first device, a communication speed of a communication using the second type of interface being faster than a communication speed of a communication using the first type of interface, the computer-readable instructions, when executed by a processor mounted on the second device, causing the second device to:

send predetermined information to the first device via the first type of interface, wherein in a case where the second device currently belongs to a target network, the predetermined information includes a first wireless setting for the first device belonging to the target network, and in a case where the second device does not currently belong to the target network, the predetermined information does not include the first wireless setting, the target network being a network for executing a wireless communication using the second type of interface;
in a case where the second device sends the predetermined information including the first wireless setting to the first device, receive, from the first device via the first type of interface, information indicating that a setting change is unnecessary;
and
in the case where the second device does not currently belong to the target network, belong to a specific network by using a second wireless setting received from the first device and execute a wireless communication of object data via the specific network, the specific network being for executing a wireless communication using the second type of interface.

A first device comprising:

a first type of interface configured to execute a communication with a second device;
a second type of interface, which is different from the first type of interface, configured to execute a communication with the second device, a communication speed of a communication using the second type of interface being faster than a communication speed of a communication using the first type of interface;
and
controller, wherein the controller is configured to:
receive predetermined information from the second device via the first type of interface, wherein in a case where the second device currently belongs to a target network, the predetermined information includes a first wireless setting for the first device belonging to the target network, in a case where the second device does not currently belong to the target network, the predetermined information does not include the first wireless setting, the target network is a network for executing a wireless communication using the second type of interface;
execute a wireless communication of object data with the second device via the target network;
in a case where the predetermined information includes the first wireless setting, send, via the first type of interface, information indicating that a setting change is unnecessary to the second device to execute the wireless communication of the object data with the second device via the target network;
send the second device a second wireless setting for the second device, which does not belong to the target network, belonging to a specific network, the specific network being for executing a wireless communication using the second type of interface;
and
execute a wireless communication of the object data with the second device via the specific network.
