Eyewear experience hub for network resource optimization

A method comprising:

• receiving an application services request from an electronic eyewear device for application services from a backend server in connection with display of at least one of images or information in a viewing area of the electronic eyewear device;
• providing, by an edge proxy server, a standardized request/response optimized schema for providing a standardized communication between the electronic eyewear device and the backend server in response to the application services request in a standardized format adapted to minimize network requests;
• providing, by the edge proxy server, the standardized communication to the backend server, the standardized communication including asynchronous requests to at least two backend services of the backend server in response to the application services request from the electronic eyewear device;
• receiving, by the edge proxy server, the application services from the at least two backend services of the backend server in response to the standardized communication from the electronic eyewear device;
• merging responses from the at least two backend services of the backend server into a response to return to the electronic eyewear device in response the application services request;
• and
• providing, by the edge proxy server, the response to the electronic eyewear device.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium that stores instructions that when executed by at least one processor cause the processor to perform operations including:

• receiving an application services request from an electronic eyewear device for application services from a backend server in connection with display of at least one of images or information in a viewing area of the electronic eyewear device;
• providing, by an edge proxy server, a standardized request/response optimized schema for providing a standardized communication between the electronic eyewear device and the backend server in response to the application services request in a standardized format adapted to minimize network requests;
• providing, by the edge proxy server, the standardized communication to the backend server, the standardized communication including asynchronous requests to at least two backend services of the backend server in response to the application services request from the electronic eyewear device;
• receiving, by the edge proxy server, the application services from the at least two backend services of the backend server in response to the standardized communication from the electronic eyewear device;
• merging responses from the at least two backend services of the backend server into a response to return to the electronic eyewear device in response the application services request;
• and
• providing, by the edge proxy server, the response to the electronic eyewear device.
