Abstract
A method and system for providing sub-band whitening are herein provided. According to one embodiment, a method includes deriving an estimated noise plus interference variance (NIVar) based on at least one legacy-long training field (LLTF) symbol from an LLTF signal; and updating an interference whitening (IW) factor by using a sub-band NIVar.
Claims20
A method for providing sub-band whitening, comprising:
- deriving an estimated noise plus interference variance (NIVar) based on at least one legacy-long training field (LLTF) symbol from an LLTF signal;
- and
- updating an interference whitening (IW) factor by using a sub-band of the NIVar.
A system for providing sub-band whitening, comprising:
- a transceiver;
- a memory;
- and
- a processor configured to:
- derive an estimated noise plus interference variance (NIVar) based on at least one legacy-long training field (LLTF) symbol from an LLTF signal;
- and
- update an interference (IW) factor by using a sub-band of the NIVar.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform:
- deriving an estimated noise plus interference variance (NIVar) based on at least one legacy-long training field (LLTF) symbol from an LLTF signal;
- and
- updating an interference whitening (IW) factor by using a sub-band of the NIVar.
