Disclosed herein is a method for fabricating an ultracapacitor, the method comprising disposing an energy storage cell comprising energy storage media within a housing; and constructing the ultracapacitor to operate within a temperature range between about 80 degrees Celsius to about 210 degrees Celsius.

A method for fabricating an ultracapacitor, the method comprising:
- disposing an energy storage cell comprising energy storage media within a housing;
- and
- constructing the ultracapacitor to operate within a temperature range between about 80 degrees Celsius to about 210 degrees Celsius;
- wherein the constructing comprises fabricating at least one of a cap and a body for the housing;
- wherein the fabricating comprises disposing a seal comprising an insulator and an electrode insulated from the housing into the housing;
- and
- wherein disposing the seal comprises disposing a hemispheric seal.
