Abstract
A vehicle audio system is provided with at least one loudspeaker to project sound within a room in response to receiving an audio signal. A controller is programmed to generate the audio signal based on at least one occupancy signal indicative of occupant presence and identification within the room, wherein the audio signal is indicative of at least one of anti-noise sound, synthesized engine noise (SEN), and music.
Claims20
A vehicle audio system comprising:
- at least one loudspeaker to project sound within a room in response to receiving an audio signal;
- and
- a controller programmed to:
- perform an occupant identification for a first occupant at a first location and a second occupant at a second location within the room,
- generate the audio signal based on at least one occupancy signal indicative of occupant presence and the occupant identification within the room, wherein the audio signal is indicative of at least one of anti-noise sound, synthesized engine noise (SEN), and music, and
- prioritize the audio signal to the first occupant.

A method for controlling an audio system, the method comprising:
- generating an audio signal to be radiated from a loudspeaker within a vehicle based on at least one occupancy signal indicative of occupant presence and occupant identification within the vehicle, wherein the audio signal is indicative of at least one of anti-noise sound, synthesized engine noise (SEN), and music;
- and
- adjusting the audio signal based on priorities of a plurality of occupants indicated in the occupant identification.
An audio system comprising:
- at least one loudspeaker to project sound within a room in response to receiving an audio signal;
- at least one occupancy sensor to provide an occupancy signal indicative of occupant presence and occupant identification;
- and
- a controller programmed to generate the audio signal based on the occupancy signal, wherein the audio signal is indicative of at least one of anti-noise sound, synthesized engine noise (SEN), and music.
