Financial terminal that automatically reconfigures into different financial processing terminal types

A computer program product for configuring a financial processing terminal comprising:

• a first computer readable program code stored in a memory associated with said financial processing terminal, said first computer readable program code enabling, when executed by a processor of said financial terminal, either a first configuration in which said financial terminal processes one or more financial transactions solely based upon a first transaction type or a second configuration in which said financial terminal processes one or more financial transactions solely based upon a second transaction type;
• a second computer readable program code stored in said memory associated with said financial processing terminal and configured to cause said processor of said financial processing terminal to:
• identify information read from a card by a card reader of said financial processing terminal, said card linked to a financial account;
• determine available financial transactions based on said information read from said card and based on said first transaction type and said second transaction type;
• utilize said first computer readable program code to cause said financial terminal to have said first configuration;
• process a first financial transaction of said available financial transactions solely based upon said first transaction type;
• when said first financial transaction is denied, automatically reconfigure said financial terminal by utilizing said first computer readable program to cause said financial terminal to have said second configuration;
• and
• process a second financial transaction of said available financial transactions solely based upon said second transaction type.
