Abstract
Various embodiments are generally directed to secure generation of barcodes using cryptographic techniques. An application may receive a request to generate a barcode. The application may receive encrypted data from a communications interface of a contactless card associated with an account. The application may receive, from a server, verification of the encrypted data and an encrypted authorization token associated with the account. The application may generate the barcode utilizing the encrypted authorization token.
Claims20
An apparatus, comprising:
- a processor circuit;
- and
- a memory storing instructions which when executed by the processor circuit, cause the processor circuit to:
- receive, by an application executing on the processor circuit, a request to generate a scannable code;
- receive, by the application, encrypted data from a communications interface of a contactless card associated with an account;
- receive, by the application and from a server, verification of the encrypted data and an encrypted authorization token associated with the account;
- and
- generate, by the application, the scannable code utilizing the encrypted authorization token.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that when executed by a processor circuit cause the processor circuit to:
- receive, by an application executing on the processor circuit, a request to generate a scannable code;
- receive, by the application, encrypted data from a communications interface of a contactless card associated with an account;
- receive, by the application and from a server, verification of the encrypted data and an encrypted authorization token associated with the account;
- and
- generate, by the application, the scannable code utilizing the encrypted authorization token.
A method, comprising:
- receiving, by an application executing on a processor, a request to generate a scannable code;
- receiving, by the application, encrypted data from a communications interface of a contactless card associated with an account;
- receiving, by the application and from a server, verification of the encrypted data and an encrypted authorization token associated with the account;
- and
- generating, by the application, the scannable code utilizing the encrypted authorization token.
