Abstract
Memory allocation for processing-in-memory operations, including: receiving, by an allocation module, a memory allocation request indicating a plurality of data structure operands for a processing-in-memory operation; determining a memory allocation pattern for the plurality of data structure operands, wherein the memory allocation pattern interleaves a plurality of component pages of a memory page across the plurality of data structure operands; and allocating the memory page based on the determined memory allocation pattern.
Claims20
A method of memory allocation for processing-in-memory operations, the method comprising:
- receiving a memory allocation request indicating a plurality of data structure operands for a processing-in-memory operation;
- and
- allocating a memory page based on a memory allocation pattern for the plurality of data structure operands, wherein the memory allocation pattern is determined by a compiler and indicated by a parameter in the received memory allocation request.
An apparatus for memory allocation for processing-in-memory operations, the apparatus comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory coupled to the processor, wherein the memory comprises instructions executed by the processor to:
- receive a memory allocation request indicating a plurality of data structure operands for a processing-in-memory operation;
- and
- allocate a memory page based on a memory allocation pattern for the plurality of data structure operands, wherein the memory allocation pattern is determined by a compiler and indicated by a parameter in the received memory allocation request.
A computer program product disposed upon a non-transitory computer readable medium, the computer program product comprising computer program instructions that, when executed, cause a processor to:
- receive a memory allocation request indicating a plurality of data structure operands for a processing-in-memory operation;
- and
- allocate a memory page based on a memory allocation pattern for the plurality of data structure operands, wherein the memory allocation pattern is determined by a compiler and indicated by a parameter in the received memory allocation request.
