Systems and methods for altering display parameters for users with ADHD

A method for alternating default display parameters to conform with a neurodevelopmental disorder profile, the method comprising:

• obtaining an indication that a user of a website has a neurodevelopmental disorder via a selection of a neurodevelopmental disorder profile from a plurality of web accessibility profiles displayed on an accessibility graphical user interface displayed alongside the website;
• and
• based on the obtained indication, implementing a predefined template to alter multiple website default display parameters to conform with needs of the user with the neurodevelopmental disorder, wherein the predefined template includes:
• adjusting a content scaling parameter in website code on a user session basis to increase content scaling;
• executing a stop animation command in the website code on a user session basis to limit movement on a display by stopping only a portion of all animation on the website and by limiting a rate of change of website animations to a predefined rate;
• and
• at least one of:
• adjusting a saturation parameter in the website code on a user session basis to increase display intensity;
• adjusting a font type parameter in the website code on a user session basis to cause a readability increase;
• adjusting a font size parameter in the website code on a user session basis to modify font scaling;
• adjusting a line height parameter in the website code on a user session basis to increase spaces between text lines;
• adjusting a letter spacing parameter in the website code on a user session basis to modify spaces between letters text;
• and
• adjusting text color parameter in the website code on a user session basis to modify a contrast between text and background;
• wherein implementing the predefined template is configured to impact presentation of content on a computing device of the user with the neurodevelopmental disorder without impacting presentation of content on other computing devices of other simultaneous viewers of the website;
• and
• presenting, alongside the plurality of web accessibility profiles and the website, a content adjustments box inside the accessibility graphical user interface including one or more interfacing elements, each associated with a different display parameter, to personalize the associated display parameter to suit the specific requirements of the user.

A system for alternating default display parameters to conform with a neurodevelopmental disorder profile, the system comprising:

• a memory configured to store values of various website display parameters associated with a plurality of web accessibility profiles;
• and
• at least one processor configured to:
• obtain an indication that a user of a website has a neurodevelopmental disorder via a selection of a neurodevelopmental disorder profile from a plurality of web accessibility profiles displayed on an accessibility graphical user interface displayed alongside the website;
• and
• based on the obtained indication, implement a predefined template to alter multiple website default display parameters to conform with needs of the user with the neurodevelopmental disorder, wherein the predefined template includes:
• adjusting a content scaling parameter in website code on a user session basis to increase content scaling;
• executing a stop animation command in the website code on a user session basis to limit movement on a display by stopping only a portion of all animation on the website and by limiting a rate of change of website animations to a predefined rate;
• and
• at least one of:
• adjusting a saturation parameter in the website code on a user session basis to increase display intensity;
• adjusting a font type parameter in the website code on a user session basis to cause a readability increase;
• adjusting a font size parameter in the website code on a user session basis to modify font scaling;
• adjusting a line height parameter in the website code on a user session basis to increase spaces between text lines;
• adjusting a letter spacing parameter in the website code on a user session basis to modify spaces between letters text;
• and
• adjusting text color parameter in the website code on a user session basis to modify a contrast between text and background;
• wherein implementing the predefined template is configured to impact presentation of content on a computing device of the user with the neurodevelopmental disorder without impacting presentation of content on other computing devices of other simultaneous viewers of the website;
• and
• presenting, alongside the plurality of web accessibility profiles and the website, a content adjustments box inside the accessibility graphical user interface including one or more interfacing elements, each associated with a different display parameter, to personalize the associated display parameter to suit the specific requirements of the user.
