## Abstract

The present invention relates to compounds having activity at the human glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor. The present invention also relates to compounds having an extended duration of action at the GIP receptor. Such compounds may be useful in the treatment of diabetes, including type 2 diabetes mellitus (“T2DM”). Also, the compounds may be useful in the treatment of obesity.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A compound, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the compound is SEQ ID NO:7.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

A pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, of claim 1 and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, diluent, or excipient.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

A method for treating a condition selected from the group consisting of diabetes mellitus, obesity, and metabolic syndrome, in a patient in need thereof, comprising administering to the patient an effective amount of the compound, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, of claim 1.

### Claim 4 (depends on 2)

A method for treating a condition selected from the group consisting of diabetes mellitus, obesity, and metabolic syndrome, in a patient in need thereof, comprising administering to the patient the pharmaceutical composition of claim 2.
