Event based recording

An electronic device, comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
• receive an event recording profile for the electronic device, the event recording profile is based on configuration data of the electronic device, the configuration data including at least one of a location type or a power type;
• receive a plurality of images of a scene captured by one or more image sensors of the electronic device;
• detect a trigger event based on one or more of the plurality of images of the scene;
• in response to detecting the trigger event, identify an object of interest in one or more of the plurality of images of the scene;
• create an event clip from the one or more images that include the object of interest, creating the event clip includes configuring a clip length based on the event recording profile, the event recording profile including a cool-off value corresponding to an amount of time to wait between successive object detections after two or more object detections occur within a threshold amount of time;
• and
• provide the event clip for display.

A server system, comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
• receive an event recording profile for an electronic device, the event recording profile based on configuration data of the electronic device, the configuration data including at least one of a location type or a power type;
• receive a plurality of images of a scene captured by one or more image sensors of the electronic device;
• detect a trigger event based on one or more of the plurality of images of the scene;
• in response to detecting the trigger event, identify an object of interest in one or more of the plurality of images of the scene;
• create an event clip from the one or more images that include the object of interest, creating the event clip includes configuring a clip length based on the event recording profile, the event recording profile including a cool-off value corresponding to an amount of time to wait between successive object detections after two or more object detections occur within a threshold amount of time;
• and
• provide the event clip for display.
