Abstract
Technologies directed to channel state information (CSI) sending in the 2.4 GHz band are described. A method includes receiving first CSI data representing channel properties of a first wireless channel used by first and wireless devices that operates in the 2.4 GHz band. The method receives second and third CSI data corresponding to second and third wireless channels. The method determines an inference probability of a motion or a non-motion condition in the geographical region based on an average probability of CSI samples from the first, second, and third CSI data.

A method comprising:
- receiving first channel state information (CSI) data representing channel properties of a first wireless channel used by a first wireless device and a second wireless device located in a geographical region;
- receiving second CSI data representing channel properties of a second wireless channel used by the first wireless device and the second wireless device;
- receiving third CSI data representing channel properties of a third wireless channel used by the first wireless device and the second wireless device;
- determining, based on the first CSI data, a first probability of a motion or a non-motion condition in the geographical region;
- determining, based on the second CSI data, a second probability of a motion or non-motion condition in the geographical region;
- determining, based on the third CSI data, a third probability of a motion or non-motion condition in the geographical region;
- and
- determining, based on an average of the first probability, the second probability, and the third probability, an inference probability of a motion or a non-motion condition in the geographical region.
A first wireless device comprising:
- a memory device that stores instructions;
- and
- a processing device, operatively coupled to the memory device, executes the instructions to perform operations comprising:
- receiving first channel state information (CSI) data representing channel properties of a first wireless channel used by the first wireless device and a second wireless device both located in a geographical region;
- receiving second CSI data representing channel properties of a second wireless channel used by the first wireless device and the second wireless device;
- receiving third CSI data representing channel properties of a third wireless channel used by the first wireless device and the second wireless device;
- determining, based on the first CSI data, a first probability of a motion or a non-motion condition in the geographical region;
- determining, based on the second CSI data, a second probability of a motion or non-motion condition in the geographical region;
- determining, based on the third CSI data, a third probability of a motion or non-motion condition in the geographical region;
- and
- determining, based on an average of the first probability, the second probability, and the third probability, an inference probability of a motion or a non-motion condition in the geographical region.
A method comprising:
- receiving first channel state information (CSI) data representing channel properties of a first wireless channel used by a first wireless device and a second wireless device located in a geographical region;
- determining that a packet drop rate on the first wireless channel satisfies a first criterion;
- identifying a set of wireless channels for time-division, channel diversity, wherein the set of wireless channels comprises the first wireless channel, a second wireless channel, and a third wireless channel;
- receiving second CSI data representing channel properties of the second wireless channel used by the first wireless device and the second wireless device;
- receiving third CSI data representing channel properties of the third wireless channel used by the first wireless device and the second wireless device;
- and
- determining, based on the first, the second, and the third CSI data, an inference probability of a motion or a non-motion condition in the geographical region.
