Drive device

A drive device comprising:

• a motor portion that includes a rotor having a shaft rotatable about a rotation shaft extending along an axial direction, and a stator disposed radially outward of the rotor;
• and
• a housing for accommodating the motor portion,
• wherein the shaft includes:
• a shaft tubular portion that extends in the axial direction;
• and
• a hollow portion surrounded by an inner side surface of the shaft tubular portion,
• the housing includes:
• a motor tubular portion that extends in the axial direction and surrounds the stator;
• a motor lid portion attached to one axial end portion of the tubular portion,
• a motor accommodation space that is surrounded by the motor tubular portion and accommodates the motor;
• and
• a refrigerant flow path through which a refrigerant flows,
• the refrigerant flow path includes:
• a first flow path through which the refrigerant to be sent from a pump flows;
• a second flow path through which the refrigerant to be supplied to the motor portion flows;
• a third flow path through which a part of the refrigerant flowing through the second flow path is supplied to an outer surface of the stator;
• and
• a fourth flow path through which another part of the refrigerant flowing through the second flow path is supplied to the hollow portion of the shaft, and
• a minimum flow-path cross-sectional area in the fourth flow path is smaller than a minimum flow-path cross-sectional area in the third flow path.
