Information processing device and method for vehicle

An information processing device for a vehicle, comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory,
• wherein the processor operates to:
• input identification data for identifying an occupant of the vehicle;
• store preference data regarding a preference of the occupant in association with the identification data in the memory;
• acquire object data of objects existing around an occupant on board the vehicle;
• determine whether or not an object included in the object data is visually or audibly recognizable by the occupant on board the vehicle;
• and
• generate notification data for the occupant on board the vehicle based on the object relating to the preference data of the occupant stored in the memory among the objects including the object data,
• wherein when there is an object determined to be visually or audibly recognizable by the occupant, information regarding the visually or audibly recognizable object is generated as the notification data over information regarding objects except the visually or audibly recognizable object,
• the processor further operates to:
• detect and calculate a time or frequency when the occupant used the information processing device for a vehicle;
• and
• determine the notification data to be generated in accordance with a magnitude of the time or frequency of the occupant,
• wherein when the time or frequency of the occupant on board the vehicle is less than a predetermined value, information regarding the recognizable object is generated as the notification data without adopting the preference data of the occupant as the notification data;
• and
• when the time or frequency of the occupant on board the vehicle is larger than the predetermined value, the notification data is generated based on the preference data of the occupant and the object determined to be recognizable.
