Systems and methods for screenshot mediation based on policy

A client device comprising:

• one or more processors configured to:
• receive, a request to capture an image of at least a portion of an application displayed on the client device, the application hosted on a remote computing device;
• select, based on an identification of the application, an action to perform on the image captured by the client device, from a plurality of actions performable on the image;
• perform the action selected from the plurality of actions on the image;
• and
• provide, responsive to the request, the image resulting from performance of the action on the captured image.

A system comprising:

• a client device of a first entity in communication with a remote computing device operated by a second entity that provides an application accessible by the client device;
• wherein the client device is configured to:
• receive a request to capture an image of at least a portion of the application displayed on the client device;
• selecting, by the client device based on an identification of the application, an action to perform on the image captured by the client device, from a plurality of actions performable on the image;
• perform the action selected from the plurality of actions on the image;
• and
• provide, responsive to the request, the image resulting from performance of the action on the captured image.
