Abstract
A device configured for low-energy ultrasonic 2D Fourier transform analysis, comprising: (i) a first layer comprising an array of piezoelectric pixels; (ii) a second layer comprising an array of piezoelectric pixels; (iii) a third layer, positioned between the first and second layers, comprising a bulk ultrasonic transmission medium; wherein the second layer of array of piezoelectric pixels is in the Fourier plane of an input signal of the first layer array of piezoelectric pixels.
Claims20
A device configured for low-energy ultrasonic 2D Fourier transform analysis, comprising:
- a bulk ultrasonic transmission medium;
- a first array of piezoelectric pixels, comprising a first plurality of pixels, disposed on a first side of the bulk ultrasonic transmission medium to define a first transmitting plane at the first side of the bulk ultrasonic transmission medium;
- and
- a second array of piezoelectric pixels, comprising a second plurality of pixels, disposed on a second side of the bulk ultrasonic transmission medium to define a first receiving plane at the second side of the bulk ultrasonic transmission medium;
- wherein the first array of piezoelectric pixels is configured to output an ultrasonic wave at the first transmitting plane responsive to an input signal comprising an input phase and an input magnitude, and
- wherein the first receiving plane defined by the second array of piezoelectric pixels corresponds to a Fourier plane for the ultrasonic wave output by the first array of piezoelectric pixels.
A device configured for low-energy ultrasonic 2D Fourier transform analysis, comprising:
- a bulk ultrasonic transmission medium;
- a first array of piezoelectric pixels, comprising a first plurality of pixels, disposed on a first side of the bulk ultrasonic transmission medium;
- a second array of piezoelectric pixels, comprising a second plurality of pixels, disposed on the first side of the bulk ultrasonic transmission medium;
- and
- a reflector disposed at a second side of the bulk ultrasonic transmission medium opposite the first side,
- wherein the first array of piezoelectric pixels is configured to output an ultrasonic wave toward the reflector responsive to an input signal comprising an input phase and an input magnitude, and
- wherein the second array of piezoelectric pixels corresponds to a Fourier plane for the ultrasonic wave output by the first array of piezoelectric pixels.
