Fan with a translucent blade support

Apparatus for circulating air, the apparatus comprising:

• a fixture housing;
• a blade bracket configured to be rotated by a fan motor;
• and
• a fan blade configured to extend away from the blade bracket;
• wherein:
• in operation, rotation of the blade bracket defines a rotational axis;
• the fixture housing defines a first distance extending perpendicularly away from the rotational axis;
• the blade bracket:
• defines a second distance extending perpendicularly away from the rotational axis;
• and
• includes a translucent material that extends away from the rotational axis between the first distance and the second distance;
• the second distance is greater than the first distance;
• the translucent material comprises:
• a first portion that is configured to be supported adjacent the fixture housing;
• and,
• a second portion that is configured to support the fan blade;
• and
• in operation, the first and the second portions, are obscured from view from below the apparatus.

Apparatus for circulating air, the apparatus comprising:

• a fixture housing;
• a blade bracket configured to be rotated by a fan motor;
• and
• a fan blade configured to extend away from the blade bracket;
• wherein:
• in operation, rotation of the blade bracket defines a rotational axis;
• the fixture housing defines a first distance extending perpendicularly away from the rotational axis;
• the blade bracket:
• defines a second distance extending perpendicularly away from the rotational axis;
• and
• includes a translucent material that extends away from the rotational axis between the first distance and the second distance;
• the second distance is greater than the first distance;
• the fixture housing includes:
• a first chamber;
• and
• a second chamber;
• the translucent material is vertically, in an operational orientation, between the first and second chambers;
• the fan motor is disposed in the first chamber;
• and
• a rotor is disposed in the second chamber.

Apparatus for circulating air, the apparatus comprising:

• a fixture housing;
• a blade bracket configured to be rotated by a fan motor;
• and
• a fan blade configured to extend away from the blade bracket;
• wherein:
• in operation, rotation of the blade bracket defines a rotational axis;
• the fixture housing defines a first distance extending perpendicularly away from the rotational axis;
• the blade bracket:
• defines a second distance extending perpendicularly away from the rotational axis;
• and
• includes:
• a translucent material that extends away from the rotational axis between the first distance and the second distance;
• and
• a ring;
• the second distance is greater than the first distance;
• the first distance extends to an outer perimeter of the fixture housing;
• the second distance extends to an inner perimeter of the ring;
• and
• a portion of the translucent material between the first distance and the second distance is unobscured.
