Abstract
A method of ablating a target body tissue, such as uterine endometrial lining tissue, includes applying an agent comprising HAuCl4 to the target body tissue, wherein the HAuCl4 has a molecular size greater than 50 microns, and removing the agent comprising HAuCl4 from the target tissue after ablation of the target tissue begins.
Claims18
A method of ablating a target body tissue, comprising:
- applying an agent comprising HAuCl4 to the target body tissue, wherein the HAuCl4 has a molecular size greater than 50 microns, and,
- removing the agent from the target tissue after ablation of the target tissue begins.
A method of ablating the endometrial lining tissue of a uterus, the method comprising:
- transcervically introducing a fluidic solution containing HAuCl4 into the uterus, wherein the HAuCl4 has a molecular size greater than 50 microns, and
- removing the HAuCl4 from the uterus after ablation of the endometrial lining tissue begins.
