Abstract
A novel canola variety designated NS7206 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof. Methods for producing a canola plant that comprise crossing canola variety NS7206 with another canola plant. Methods for producing a canola plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into NS7206 through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the canola seed, plant and plant part produced thereby. Hybrid canola seed, plant or plant part produced by crossing the canola variety NS7206 or a locus conversion of NS7206 with another canola variety.
Claims20
A seed, plant, plant part or plant cell of canola variety NS7206, representative seed of said variety having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202108116.
A converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell of inbred canola variety NS7206, representative seed of the canola variety NS7206 having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202108116, wherein the converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell comprises fewer than six locus conversions, and wherein the plant or a plant grown from the converted seed, plant part or plant cell comprises the fewer than six locus conversions and otherwise comprises all the physiological and morphological characteristics of canola variety NS7206 when grown under the same environmental conditions.
An F1 hybrid seed produced by crossing a plant or plant part of inbred canola variety NS7206, representative seed of the variety having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202108116 with a different Brassica plant, wherein inbred canola variety NS7206 further comprises a transgene that is inherited by the seed, wherein the transgene was introduced into inbred canola variety NS7206 by backcrossing or genetic transformation.
